One tricky scenario we occasionally come across is where an event organiser wants to restrict tickets to a specific group of people. A good example of this is an event that has multiple eventlets, with one available to members only, and the others open to all. 

We'll show you how to tweak your pricing settings to make this happen, but if you're looking to restrict all of your eventlets (or event) to a certain group of people, you may want to consider making your entire event invite-only.

First, create your eventlets

Second, create your ticket types

We've used"members" and "non-members" for this example, but the attendee types names should reflect what makes most sense for your event.

Third, add in your pricing

If, using the above example, I want to restrict the "Upskilling executive performance" eventlet to the "Members" ticket type, I make sure that no value is entered for the "Non-members"  option.

Showing as "Unavailable" on the registration form

The result of this is that the "Non-members" option will be set to "Unavailable" for the "Upskilling executive performance" eventlet on your registration form. Thus, only members of your organisation will be able to book for this workshop.

You can further reinforce this by requesting additional supporting information (like a membership number) on the Attendee Info section of the form. (You would leave this  non-mandatory, of course, as not all of your attendees are expected to be members.)
